Birthday Weekend

Saturday was my birthday. We were gone all day, so Tania asked us to come down on Sunday to celebrate. We went to her house where she presented me with this cute magnet board, a card she made and a gift certificate to Craft Warehouse! I love Craft Warehouse! :-)

It isn't a large chain craft store, but they do have several stores in Washington and as craft stores go, it's one of my favorites. In the Tri-Cities there's Craft Warehouse, Michael's and a new Hobby Lobby all within a few blocks of each other. So when you want to go craft shopping you can almost park in one spot and hike to them all! LOL!

If you do go to all of them it can turn into an all day affair, tho. So I usually pick one and concentrate my time and money there! Isn't this a cute card? Tania repurposed a vintage birthday card, creating an adorable "new" one. She put the cute images onto new cardstock and added some ruffled crepe paper and buttons to create a sweet hand crafted card. She's done a few more that she's offering in her Etsy shop, here, if you want to take a peek.

And the magnetic memo board is the perfect place to display it! It's easel style so it stands wherever you've got a little spot for it.

I'm working in my craft room as we speak, trying to clean off my counters a little to make space. It seems like every time I step into that room I end up with every flat surface piled high! I don't know how that happens because I try to clean up after myself! I think there are gremlins in there creating havoc when I turn my back! It can't be me!! LOL!

Tania and Sydney (granddaughter) also took us out to dinner, YUM, so I had a very nice weekend and now I'm done having birthdays! One can only turn 39 so many times!
